Stevan Milijanović

SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Stevan Milijanović was born in 1996 in Čačak, Serbia. He has performed in numerous classical music competitions both in the country and abroad. At the age of eighteen, he went to Dublin for studies at the Newpark Music Centre, where he directly enrolled in the fourth year. He continued his studies at the Department of Jazz at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade under the guidance of Professor Sava Miletić, completing both his undergraduate and master’s degrees. During his studies, he composed and arranged for jazz ensembles at the faculty and for big bands.
In 2022, he became a member of the Association of Jazz, Pop, and Rock Musicians of Serbia. Stevan is an active member of many Belgrade bands, including SPS bend (Zoran Kesić’s project), Drumbooty, Manivi, Bosque Sound Community, TAP 011, Bvana Herbalajzer i Džezeri iz Lagune, Igor Vince, Gorica and the Grooveheadz, Miško Plavi Trio, Surreal, Prti Bee Gee, Nenad Knežević Knez, EJO, Ana Stanić, Stevan Milijanović Quartet, and others.
As the leader of the ethno jazz orchestra EJO, he released the album Ptica for PGP, which contains original compositions as well as arrangements of traditional songs from the Balkans. In 2022, the Association of Jazz, Pop, and Rock Musicians of Serbia awarded the EJO ensemble with a charter for the most broadcasted jazz composition for Deset dana, as well as the Miroslav Miša Aleksić award in the young talent category.
Stevan continues his musical evolution through the project Stevan Milijanović and Friends, under which he released a single titled Here to Stay in collaboration with Gorica Šutić.
