SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Lada Obradovic is a Croatian jazz drummer and composer. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Drum Performance from the Academy of Graz and the University of Bern, respectively. Alongside French pianist David Tixier, she is the co-leader of the multi-award-winning duo project “Obradovic-Tixier Duo”. Awards won have included the 1st prize Jazz À Vienne 2018, 1st prize Jazz Au Phare 2018, 1st prize Colmar Jazz Festival 2018, and 1st prize La Défense Jazz Festival 2019. In 2019 Lada also received the Instrumentalist Prize during the “42nd National Contest of La Défense Jazz Festival”. In 2019, Lada performed and acted in the popular Netflix series “The Eddy” with the Oscar-winning film director Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash), Emmy-nominated Alan Poul and the Grammy-winning composer Glen Ballard (Michael Jackson, Alanis Morissette) among others. Lada runs an international nonprofit organization based in France called SAY.R that rescues abandoned and abused animals from Croatia and Bosnia, along with other charitable projects.
